COMMERCY
Ranked among the 100 most beautiful places in France, the city of Commercy is rich in history and heritage. King Stanislas, father-in-law of King Louis XV, gave the town its letters of nobility by bequeathing a magnificent castle and the recipe for the famous madeleines. Today, two companies perpetuate the artisanal tradition: the Cloche Lorraine and the boîte à Madeleines (located a few steps from our hotel).
The Pays de Commercy can be discovered through a luxuriant and varied nature. Forests and ponds rub shoulders with numerous orchards where the famous mirabelle plums of Lorraine are grown. Discover, 30 minutes from our hotel, the Lake of Madine, a privileged place to practice water sports or to take advantage of a fitted out beach.
Land of memory, you can discover many sites related to the First World War. For example, the memorial of Montsec in homage to the offensives of the American army in 1918 delivering a superb panorama on the Coasts of Meuse and the Lake of Madine.
